This is NOT a PQ comparison, it's more like a "take" comparison, because each film uses a different take for the same scene, even when there are the same actors in both of them. I guess it's because they had to pronounce their lines in both languages, i.e. their parts were not dubbed in the "other" language version, but who knows? I don't, and I hereby declare my ignorance on the subject! ;-)

Anyway, even though they are 2 different films, in comparison, the (shorter) English version looks better to me. It's not as dark as the German one, and there's some nice grain visible in the picture.

One more thing I'd like to point out is that each version's only got 2 chapter stops, and the German version's 2nd chapter stop @ 43:02 coincides with the point where its bitrate graph "drops flat."
