"Pacho..." was already released by SFI a few years ago, meaning this is the 2nd DVD edition of the film. I've read comments on the Internet saying that the transfer had been improved significantly, however, as I'm still waiting for the older disc to arrive, I cannot confirm that at this point (update: got it! Now, you can compare the two editions yourself). Nevertheless, improved or not, it seems something went amiss in the course of the production, as you can see in the following example (observe the sword in the catchpole's hand):

And in these other two, where, for a brief period of time, the transfer becomes interlaced:

The picture may be zoomed in, colours washed out, shadows fused together (see e.g. frame 85383), edge enhancement abundant, and there may not be any sharpness to speak of, but on the other hand... Sorry, I can't think of anything... (c:

(Well, there ARE the extras; I'd say if you've already got this edition, do not throw it away, but ensure you get the re-release as well - it's worth the double-dip!)
