This one's simple. Unless you're craving for Freda's "The Ghost," go for the German edition. Otherwise, buy both. There's simply no excuse for not giving yourself over to the sheer chocolaty goodness of the Universum's transfer. ;-) To add a bit of weight to my words, here's an example of one of the many scenes, where the R1 disc misses a brief snippet of footage, and displays severe damage instead (note that the R2 screenshots in the example were resized to match the R1 ones as closely as possible; the AR was not kept):
