| Notes: | This could have been an excellent DVD, unfortunately, the presentation of the main feature is quite poor. Although it's obvious the film was shot through an anamorphic lens (see e.g. the elliptical cue blip in frame 78139), the transfer is not anamorphically enhanced. Another problem is that (at least) 2 different prints were used to put the film together for this DVD release, and the transitions between these are everything but seamless, as seen in the examples below:
| 39819 / 39820 | 39900 / 39901
| |
Only available in a 2-disc set, together with the 1921 silent version of "Jánošík."

What can I say? Will SFI never learn to take advantage of 16:9 enhancement? I was expecting that + an overall improvement on par with last year's " Wild Lilies" re-release, but what we get is virtually the same 2003 transfer, the only difference being a tad higher bitrate... SFI, this film cries for 16:9! To see the screenshots from the 2nd part of the film, click here.
