Given what this film is about, I was discombobulated as to why Golem Video had chosen to depict the passionate lovers in particular on their cover, but Google tells me it's actually the (original) Italian poster art. Now, the question is why whoever designed that poster in the first place had chosen that... ticking c(l)ock element as representative of the film... ;-) The only other release of "Nine Hours to Rama" that I found is an Impulso Records DVD from Spain, and there it seems they didn't stray too far from the original artwork:
