"She Kept Crying for the Moon" is quite a nice film, however, I'd really prefer to have Štefan Uher's earlier films on DVD, e.g. "Javor a Juliana" ("
The Maple and Juliana," 1973), "Panna zázračnica" ("
Miraculous Virgin," 1966), and especially his most important film I remember seeing as a child - "Slnko v sieti" ("
The Sun in a Net," 1962). Because of the success of the "Slovak Cinema of the 80's" collection, SFI & The Daily SME plan to release 10 other Slovak films - this time from the 70's (sadly, "The Maple and Juliana" won't be among them) - by the end of this year. And who knows - next year, we might get a collection of the films from the 60's, so here's hoping they'll include Š. Uher then...
P.S. Actually, I just remembered that there should be a film by Štefan Uher in the 70's collection - "Keby som mal pušku" ("
If I Had a Gun," 1971), but I've never seen this one, so I don't know if it's any good...?
