Accessible from the English menus, and stored on the disc as a separate encode, is the English-language version of the film; it translates the on-screen text, but otherwise the only difference I noticed are the frequent digital video artefacts, which - strangely enough - don't usually appear in both encodes at the same time (meaning that artefact-free video files could've been produced).
