What can I say? I didn't like the film much, but the transfer was excellent. The audio sounded a bit tinny at times, but hey - this film is 70 years old! That's almost as old as my grandma, and she sounds tinny too. ;-)

Regarding the "Virtual Extended Edition," I won't go into detail, but this should pretty much explain what it is about:

As a side-note, I'd like to mention a connection I discovered between "Things..." & a 1965 Russian science-fiction movie "Engineer's Garin Hyperboloid" (reviewed here), that is a scene where the Russians used some excavation machinery footage from "Things..." as back-projection: ;-)
